I showed my work Folded Time
The exhibition was based on an open call during the autumn where Studio Tabac received in total 250 applications from photo based artists from all over the world. The selection was made with focus on the emotional & experimental aspects of photographic practices, and in total 111 artists with 150 photographic books were selected for the exhibition.
Kapitel #1 presented a variety of contemporary international artist books spanning from autobiographical love stories, family portraits, manuals on how to drive a car, dicks in public spaces and a 3D-portray of a fantasy genesis story. Through emotional, experimental, funny, smart, bright and dark works, the exhibition showed the power of contemporary photography and the creative forces of self publication.
