Hemligheten
Kalmar Läns Museum 2021-2022
In the project Hemligheten/The Secret, Kalmar Läns Museum will create both a large scale exhibition as well as smaller traveling exhibition as a reflection and quiet healing space inspired by the Kalmar based photographer Jan Nordstroms images from a secret garden. Video by Peter Norrman and sound by Leif Jordansson. The project also includes text read by Rikard Wolff. The exhibition is based on mental illness and illuminates society today by looking at it from the perspective of life courage and hope. Mental illness is not something you want to identity with voluntarily and the exhibition attempts to turn the perspective around and elevate the the healthy aspects and thus open up for reflection. Peter Norman has been filming Jan Nordstrom around Kalmar and the "secret" garden for almost 3 years and the final video piece will be a projection on a 2.8 meter high sculpture designed by Norrman that also serves as a smaller secret room where young visitors can enter.
